XISS Embark - Wings of HOPE (Humanity, Opportunity, Passion and Excellence)

The first post of a New blog with a definite objective needs a lot of thought before it is written, something which conveys the objective of portraying a journey of  Emotions and involvement of emotions in achieving and creating all that we call is material and tangible.

I was in XISS Ranchi my alma mater for the Diamond Jubilee celebration a day ago, In the canteen i saw some posters mentioning some event and an student initiative this was not very common two years back we saw posters only during Panache our annual cultural event advertising various events by their respective heads but i just thought that Panache is still a long way to go as it happens in month of Feb or march.

I decided to know a littile and read through those posters and then asked a few people, well i had heard about this in past may be seen some post on Facebook and i thought may be just like some initiatives were taken in past and fizzled out with time this one too will die out till i make a visit to the institute but this time the story was completely different, A group of dedicated and hardworking students were busy giving final touches to their plans to put up a stall and promote this initiative and that too in mid of a busy placement season, it was heartening too see the involvement and thought being put to make the impact and utilize a big event.

I then got an opportunity to interact with Deepak and Jijo two of the final year students who are working closely with the team to give final shapes to the ideas and got to know that this student initiative aimed at knowledge sharing, organizing events and promoting new ideas and approaches which is called "XISS Embark" involves students of all departments which is a very positive thing for those who understand the undercurrents and hence adds a lot of value and impact to the efforts.  They have already organised a couple of online events and have received good response and are planning a couple of more events in online mode before they move on to conducting something in offline mode on live Forum.

The team i met had some brilliant people and it was great to see the first year students taking leadership in planning, executing and implementing ideas. Which shows this initiative will surely not fizzle out, even their stall was very professionally managed especially the way the presentation was displayed in an interactive manner.

I wish the XISS Embark team the very best and hope there is participation from all departments and there is ample faculty and institute support to take this initiative to heights of glory that it deserves every change begins with small steps and on diamond jubilee celebration i could see the sparkling of that diamond may be not so polished yet but was impactful enough to raise hopes for bright future.

I would like to end with lines of famous poet Dushyant Kumar-"Ek Chnigari kahin se dhoondh lao doston, is diye me tel se bheegi hui baati to hai"- "These lines are for that hope that spark which we need to create light for a bright future and for me XISS-Embark is that spark that gives me that hope shows me that light.
